Hello world!

So this is me, welcome to a Mrs in Paddington. A blog about my life and loves.

Why do I think you would want to follow me? Good question and to be honest you may not want to take time out of your day to catch up on what I think is worth writing about, but anyone who has ever met me knows I love a good story and am never short on a word or two (or a hundred). So having listened to more people than I can count tell me I should start a blog or “write that down” I thought why not?

A Mrs in Paddington was born from my love of both my life and my home town. I am of course a Mrs and a very happy one at that! Aww too cute I know, but truth be told I have been blissfully married for coming on 4 years to a wonderful man who I have loved since we met in high school. And yes, before you ask we are “one of those” couples. You know the clichés who think the same, act the same, spend probably too much time together and of course think our other half is the equivalent of the next coming. But being a Mrs isn’t all I am about and even though I love that title it doesn’t come close to encompassing all that is me.

I’m also a boss, and no I don’t mean I’m incredibly awesome (although…yeah). What I really mean is I run my own hair salon in of all places Paddington Sydney. Being a hairdresser and running my beautiful team of stylists makes up a huge part of who I am and what I do. I feel so connected to people through what I do and have met some truly unique characters, not to mention some of the tales I have heard. It’s the best job that allows me to explore my creativity in an industry focused on fashion and beauty, all this and I literally get to talk my way through the day…. Have I mentioned yet that I love what I do? I can promise you however that I wont be filling my posts with shameless salon promotion, there will be plenty of tips on hair and insights in to the fun and at time downright crazy world of hair stylists.

But mostly my catalyst for starting this blog came when I realised I had to adhere to what is called the Low FODMAP diet plan. After lots of looking, googling and what I’m going to be honest and call stalking the internet and social media, I realised there isn’t a lot on the experience of someone living Low FODMAP and most importantly I wanted to share my experiences with this, with you.

So while I’m not by any means an authority on any of these things, in fact I only know what I have experienced. It’s my journey and I would love for you to take a trip to Paddington and come along with me…

Happy reading!

A Mrs x
